Troubleshooting

Agent and computer statuses

Distinguish connection health, active work, and waiting for you.

Presence is not task progress

A computer can be online while an agent process is offline. An agent can also be online while a particular request is waiting for you.

Cloud computer preparation

After you create a cloud agent, CrewX provisions its computer and installs the runtime. A preparing or connecting state is not the same as a ready coworker. If setup fails, inspect the error on the existing profile rather than creating duplicates.

Agent presence

StateMeaningNext step
Online or idleThe process is connectedSend work or check a specific run
Working or busyA request is being processedFollow its progress in the conversation or Activity
Waiting for youThe request needs access, approval, or a handoverComplete the request card
OfflineNo fresh agent connection is availableInspect the profile and its computer
DeactivatedThe profile is intentionally disabledReactivate only if you intend to use it

Labels can differ between screens and runtime versions. A completed message means a result was returned; it does not certify that the result is correct or reviewed.

Connected machine status

Bridge reports connection health separately from the runtimes it supervises. An online machine also advertises detected runtimes, approved folders, policy, and capacity.

Use crewx-bridge status, crewx-bridge doctor, and crewx-bridge runs --all on your own machine. A historical lost run refers to an earlier supervisor process, not a second live agent.

When progress stops

Check whether the request is queued, actively working, waiting for a person, completed, cancelled, or failed. Do not diagnose a stalled request from the green presence dot alone.
